Severn Park has operated under a lease from the Francis Wheeler Charity since 1962 and amounts to 26 acres of recreational land provided for the good of the community. Severn Park is open to the public 365 days per year and a variety of activities take place.
The Rowing Club hold their Club and Pub regatta from the park which is very well supported. The Council invariably grants free use of the park to local organisations wishing to arrange events and also allows a fair to be sited for the Spring Bank Holiday. Bridgnorth Rugby Club lease two rugby pitches during the winter months but the land is free for public use outside the rugby training and match days.
Severn Park is licensed for music and entertainment.
