The Castle Hall is a community facility with recently installed WIFI and includes a large hall with a stage and dance floor, bar, bar lounge and a large fully equipped kitchen available for the use of caterers plus a licensed wedding room. It is centrally located on West Castle Street, which is close to the High Street and just a short walking distance from two car parks in Listley Street.
This is a very versatile space which is licensed until 1 a.m, seven days a week.
The spacious Main Hall leads on from the main foyer and has wooden floor throughout. It is ideal for large gatherings, including parties, wedding receptions, live music events and concerts, performing arts, dance, conferences and other activities.
The Hall can hold 160 people comfortably, with a capacity of 220 people depending on room layout.
The Hall has a light bar, tested yearly for up to 60 k.g; perfect for stage performances.
We have 205 chairs and 28 long tables which can be laid out in a variety of styles, all dependent on your event.
The double doors at the other end of the room lead into the Meeting Room/Wedding Room.

At the far end of the Hall, there is a large stage suitable for performing arts and live music events. The rear of the stage leads to a backstage area, suitable for changing or awaiting a return to the stage. You can also gain access to our kitchen without being seen by the audience. Also on stage we have three 32 amp sockets for all your power needs.

The Bar/Bar Lounge can provide a smaller casual alternative to the Main Hall or Meeting Room. With a fully licensed bar, this is an ideal venue for Quiz Nights, Games events and other smaller functions.
The Bar Lounge can be hired in addition to the Main Hall, providing a quieter area away from the main party scene with plenty of comfortable seats. The Bar is licensed until 1 am and is run by PJs Mobile Bars on behalf of the Town Council. Once your booking is made, we will provide your details to PJs who will be touch to make arrangements for your event.

The Castle Hall has a fully equipped large commercial kitchen with a six ring gas hob, double oven, double sink, plate warming cupboards, microwave oven, refrigerator and plenty of preparation space. There is also a water urn, tea pots, kettle, milk jugs, plates, cutlery, tin opener, knives, serving dishes, salt & pepper pots, tea cups and saucers. This is perfect for use by outside caterers or in house.

Our Meeting Room can seat up to 38 guests, with standing room and further space available if the Main Hall is booked by opening the double doors. This room is also licensed for weddings and makes the ideal venue if you are also planning on holding your Reception with us. Suitable for small gatherings, conferences and training.

Wedding Ceremony £200.00 plus VAT (minimum 2 hours)
We also offer day rates and half day rates for the whole venue
Full day’s hire of whole venue £125.00 + VAT
Morning, afternoon or evening hire of whole venue £62.50 + VAT
(9-1, 2-6, 7-11) or other 4 hour intervals around these times
Please note, to secure your date we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total hire charge.
Full payment is required no later than 14 days prior to your event.
