Outside bodies are those that are independent from the Council, but have an impact on Bridgnorth. Listed below are the outside bodies that have representatives from Bridgnorth Town Council appointed to them.

St Leonard’s, Weaver and Bluecoat Trust

The St Leonard’s, Weaver and Bluecoat trust provide special benefits to St Leonards School and promote education including religious education and social and physical training, to those under the age of 25 in need of financial assistance.

Bridgnorth & Shifnal Area Committee of Local Councils

The Bridgnorth & Shifnal Area Committee of Local Councils aims to encourage local councils to work in partnership, exchange information and views and provide a channel of communication between authorities.

Sir Robert Lee’s Charity

The main objective of the Sir Robert Lee’s Charity is to provide grants to needy and deserving individuals who reside in the Low Town area of Bridgnorth.

Bridgnorth Parish Charity

Bridgnorth Parish Charity helps residents in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Mary Magdalene Church, Bridgnorth with St Leonard, the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Nicholas, Oldbury, the Ecclesiastical Parish of St Mary Magdalene Church, Quatford and the Civil Parish of Eardington who are in a state of need, hardship or distress

Bridgnorth & District Twinning Association

Bridgnorth has been twinned with Thiers in France since 1978 and Schrobenhausen in Germany since 1988. The Bridgnorth & District Twinning Association organise events to unite the three towns.

Bridgnorth Community Hall Management Committee

The Bridgnorth Community hall is for the residents of Bridgnorth to use for classes, lectures, meetings and other leisure and recreation activity with the intent to improve the lives of the users. The management committee are responsible for overseeing this.
