Resignation of Bridgnorth Town Clerk
Bridgnorth Town Council has announced that the current Town Clerk, Lee Jakeman, has resigned, having accepted another opportunity and he will be leaving his employment with the Town Council on 22 July 2022.
The Town Council has appointed the current Deputy Town Clerk,Roslyn Williams, to the position of interim Town Clerk until 30th November. In the meantime, the vacant post will be advertised with interviews for Mr Jakeman’s replacement due to take place in the early Autumn.
The Mayor, Karen Sawbridge, said: “The Town Council wishes to thank Lee for his advice and support during the past four years. We hope to be able to appoint a candidate who will guide us to provide the best value for the council tax paid by our residents”
“Also, we would hope that the successful candidate will help us to promote our wonderful town as a great place to live, to encourage visitors to support our super retailers and to support the many other businesses which operate in and around the town.”
