This year marks 100 years since the start of WW1 and our Remembrance service and parade will be following a new format.

On Sunday 9 November, proceedings will commence at the War Memorial in the Castle Grounds where people are asked to be present by 10.30am. A short service will take place which will include laying of the wreaths, laying of crosses with names of those who died in 1914 and a two minutes silence at 11am. Following this, the parade will form and depart from the Castle Grounds at 11.15am, march along the High Street past the Dias where the RAF Commander will take the salute, up Church Street to arrive at St. Leonard’s Church at approximately 11.30am, where seating will be reserved.
